SiHyun Uhm

SiHyun Uhm is attending Eastman School of Music in NY, after graduating from Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts, studied composition with Whitman Brown, piano with Mana Tokuno from New England Conservatory. SiHyun was born in Seoul, Korea where she went to Yewon School.
She has won Several Choir Competition as a conductor, QSO, Music World Competition, as a pianist. She is the winner of the NY Composers’ Circle, finalist of ASCAP Foundation Award Next Notes Competition, National YoungArts, Golden Key Festival, 2nd place of Avalon Competition, MTNA, and CBS National Youth Competition. She was featured in a magazine ‘International Piano’ and her music was played on several radio stations in Netherland and USA.
She has performed in many places around the world and has many experiences as a both pianist and a composer. In addition, she composes for films and commercials, and she always endeavors to write music in her own creative style that builds connections between audiences and the music. She has performed in World Composer’s Concert in Vienna, Walnut Hill Award Ceremony, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 2 with QSO, Rockport, CCPA, NEC Contemporary Festival, Juventas Ensemble, Houston Museum District, Solo Recital in Perigee Hall, Seoul.
