Hailed a "Miracle" by GRAMOPHONE, Trey Lee's Carnegie Hall concerto debut received a rousing standing ovation, with the NEW YORK TIMES declaring him "the excellent cellist… with enveloping richness and lyrical sensitivity."

Recently, Trey has collaborated with Lorin Maazel, Hannu Lintu, Osmo Vanska, Bright Sheng, Tan Dun, the Philharmonia Orchestra of London, the Netherlands Philharmonic, Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, Tapiola Sinfonietta, the Munich and Romanian Radio chamber orchestras, amongst others. He is often featured at major events including: a concert initiated by Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon at the United Nations General Assembly Hall and Phoenix Television's global live broadcast with the China Symphony Orchestra at the Beijing National Center for Performing Arts.

Since being the first Asian to win First Prize at the prestigious International Antonio Janigro Cello Competition, Trey has been featured in the FINANCIAL TIMES, on CNN and China's national television CCTV.

Trey has released several albums under EMI to critical and commercial acclaim and recent releases include Bright Sheng's The Blazing Mirage under Naxos and the Dream of Red Chamber Suite with the National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan.

A co-founder and Artistic Director of Musicus Society, he also established two groundbreaking festivals, the Musicus Fest and the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival. In 2012, he was appointed ambassador of UNICEF HK.
